Food For Thought Local Ministry
Moss Bluff UMC supports Food for Thought a SWLA outreach sponsored by DeWanna’s Closet and Sale Street Baptist. The program, which replaces the Backpack Blessings Ministry, provides food families with school aged children who struggle with adequate nutrition on the weekends while out of school. You can contribute to this ministry by making a financial donation directly to the ministry (at the above link) or you can make checks out to MBUMC and earmark the donation FOOD FOR THOUGHT. MBUMC gives regularly to this ministry though donations of members.
Moss Bluff Thrift Shop
The Moss Bluff Thrift Shop is open and ready to welcome you. We host a sale every 1st Friday and Saturday from 7:30am-11:30am both days. All proceeds from our sales go to mission and ministry right here in our local community.
We are accepting donations during sale hours. Additionally, the Thrift Shop volunteers host a workday each Thursday from 8:30-10:00a.m. During this time block we are also accepting donations from the community. Thank you for your donations, we simply ask that you not leave anything outside of the Thrift Shop.
Westlake Food Pantry
We are excited about our renewed partnership with the wonderful folks at Westlake United Methodist Church through their food pantry ministry. You can participate in this ministry by donating non-perishable food items, volunteering your time to serve in the pantry, assisting with food deliveries or by helping to unload shipments. Donations are accepted at Moss Bluff UMC.
